The Starlink Gen 3 WiFi router, model UTR-232, is the current-generation Starlink router. It runs Wi-Fi 6 on tri-band radios, has two Ethernet LAN ports, and can work either as the main router on a Starlink system or as a wireless mesh node paired to an existing Starlink router. This kit ships with the genuine power supply (UTP-231P) and DC cable, plus a free StarMax 3D-printed wall mount.

Not included: the Starlink dish, Ethernet cable, or the Starlink Ethernet Adapter (needed only for Gen 2 dish setups).

Frequently asked questions

Can I use this as a mesh node?
Yes, and we have tested it. Our own unit paired over 5 GHz at −56 dBm with a 1141 Mbps receive rate — the app screenshots on this page are from that setup. A Starlink network supports up to three mesh nodes.

Will it work with my Gen 2 rectangular dish?
Yes, but not on its own. The Gen 2 router also powers that dish, so you keep it, add the Starlink Ethernet Adapter, connect the Gen 3 router to it and put the Gen 2 router into bypass mode in the app.

Does it come with a power supply?
Yes. That is the point of buying the kit — the genuine UTP-231P power supply and the DC cable are both included, along with our wall mount.

Do I need a Starlink account to use it?
You need active Starlink service to get internet through it, but you do not need one to buy this kit from us. Several official accessories only appear in the Starlink shop once a kit is assigned to an account.

How many devices can it handle?
Up to 235 connected devices, with coverage of roughly 3,200 sq ft (297 m²) per router.

Can I pair it with a non-Starlink mesh system?
No. It meshes with Starlink Gen 2 and Gen 3 routers only.

Can it go outside?
No. It is IP56 and rated for indoor use, −30 °C to 50 °C.
