Genuine Starlink Gen 2 Wi-Fi Router UTR-211 — OEM + Free Mount

€189,00

This is the genuine Starlink Gen 2 Wi-Fi router (UTR-211) — the OEM unit supplied with rectangular-dish Starlink kits, not a copy or a third-party equivalent. Starlink no longer sells this generation new, so this is the part to fit when the original router has failed, been damaged, or was missing from a kit bought second-hand.

Check this first: which generation do you have?

Your Starlink This router What to do
Rectangular dish (Gen 2) Correct This is your router.
Standard Gen 3 / V4 dish Wrong generation You need the Gen 3 router instead.
Round first-generation dish {{CONFIRM}} State plainly whether this router works with the original round dish.
Starlink Mini Not required The Mini has its own built-in Wi-Fi.

If you are unsure, the quickest check is the shape of your dish: rectangular means Gen 2.

When you need this router

Fit this if your Gen 2 router has stopped powering on, drops the network at random, was damaged by a surge or water ingress, or never arrived with a second-hand dish. It is also worth holding one as a spare at a remote or seasonal site, where a failed router means no connection until a replacement can be shipped in.

What is included

Included: the genuine Starlink Gen 2 router, plus a free StarMax 3D-printed wall mount bracket (our own design and manufacture, not a Starlink part).
Not included: the Starlink dish, and {{CONFIRM: the AC power cord and any dish cable — state clearly, this is the main source of disputes on router listings}}.

The free wall mount

Every order ships with a StarMax 3D-printed bracket that cradles the base of the router and holds it flat against a wall (photos 6, 7, 9 and 10). It gets the router off the desk, stops it being knocked over, and keeps the cord run tidy. Designed and printed by StarMax.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know if I need the Gen 2 or the Gen 3 router?
Look at the dish, not the router. A rectangular dish is Gen 2 and takes this router. A Gen 3 / V4 dish takes the Gen 3 router. Ordering by dish shape is the reliable test.

Is this a genuine Starlink part?
Yes. This is the OEM Starlink Gen 2 router, not a replica. The only StarMax-made item included is the free wall mount bracket, which is our own design.

Starlink stopped selling this generation — will it still work?
Yes. Gen 2 rectangular dish systems remain in service and are supported in the Starlink app; the router pairs and configures the same way it always did.

Can I use this as a mesh node?
{{CONFIRM: whether the Gen 2 router meshes, and whether it meshes with Gen 3 units — answer from your own testing. Buyers ask this constantly and the web is full of contradictory answers, so a tested answer here is worth more than any other sentence on the page.}}

Which power cord does it come with?
{{CONFIRM: plug type per destination region.}}
