The Starlink RJ45 cable is the 15 metre (49 ft) shielded Ethernet cable used to carry the network connection on a Starlink installation. The jacket is rated for outdoor use to CMR at 75 °C, the cable is FTP shielded with four pairs of 26 AWG conductors, and the RJ45 plug carries a moulded weather gasket. It is a direct replacement for a damaged or missing original.

When do you need a replacement Ethernet cable?
Replace or add an Ethernet cable if the connection drops when the cable is moved; the jacket is cut, crushed or rodent-damaged; a plug clip has snapped; you are moving the dish further from the router; or you want a second cable so the permanent run stays in place while a travel cable goes in the van.

Frequently asked questions
Is this the network cable or the power cable?
The network cable. It carries Ethernet data over an RJ45 connection. Power to a Starlink Mini runs on a separate DC cable.
Can I run it outdoors?
Yes. The jacket is outdoor CMR rated to 75 °C, which is what the run between a dish and a building needs. It is not rated for direct burial — use conduit underground.
Will 15 metres slow my connection?
No. Ethernet runs to 100 metres without loss, so 15 metres is well inside spec.
What is the shielding for?
The FTP shield protects the signal on long outdoor runs, particularly where the cable runs alongside mains wiring or near motors. It is one of the clearest differences between this and a cheap indoor patch cable.
Can I plug it into a normal router or a PC?
Yes. The termination is a standard RJ45 plug.
What is the free caddy?
A StarMax-designed winder printed in-house. Four mounting holes let you fix it to a van wall or locker, the handle carries the whole 15 metre coil in one hand, and the orange two-piece cap protects the connector while the cable is stored.
